Occupy LSX tactics- Do the 99% need to mask up?

The Occupy Wall Street (and related movements) advocate peaceful protest but what will happen when the template is applied in London?



The relationship between City of London Police (and other metropolitan police forces) and left wing activists is often strained, and regularly descends into violence. I am assuming sections of the broad independent left of this fine city will not be using the Occupy movement to break this self sustaining cycle of violence (maybe i will be proved wrong) and will adhere to more provactive tactics made popular of the the last 10 or so years of anti globalization struggle.

In todays show, a clip is shown (02:05) of a man describing the arrest of four 'masked' protestors. Im sure we all agree that arresting someone for a wearing a mask is a farce, but the question surely is; did they need to be wearing masks?

If we truly are the 99%, why cover our faces?
