Warning Met police planning to brutally attack London stock exchange demo!

Insider | 06.10.2011 18:13

Word has been going around recently that the Met police are tooling up for a savage attack on the October 15th London stock exchange occupation demo! Plastic bullets and water cannon could be used or even live ammunition and the army has been placed on standby too!

Information from within the Metropolitan police has leaked out to some journalists that they are preparing for a very big showdown with activists on Saturday the 15th of October at the Occupy the London stock exchange demo. Expect a big story about it soon within the next few days in the London Evening Standard. It would therefore be advisable for activists who are planning to come to this event to bring first aid kits etc and to make contingency plans to safety evacuate everyone in the event of things getting really heavy!

Probably should delete

Unless a decent source can be provided to verify this, I think imc mods should delete. It seems to be the latest in a fairly blatant string of spam aimed at intimidating people away from the demo.

Journalists must protect their confidential sources. You can't delete it because they refuse to say where the information came from. But it dose sound more like a rumour rather than news to me. Still, time will tell if it's true or not. Lets just hope the boys in blue do themselves a disservice as usual.
