Wickham were exposed by the BUAV in November 2009 continuing to test the cosmetic product botox on mice, with members of staff killing those mice who survived testing by breaking their backs with ballpoint pens, often botching this and leaving them to die slow painful deaths. April this year they were again exposed by the BUAV testing saline solutions and blood filters on over 100 rabbits. These rabbits were locked in vices and prevented from eating and drinking for long periods of time (sometimes up to 30 hours). The solutions were then injected into their ears in experiments that are not only horrific and ineffective but have been repeated hundreds of times before.

Wickham labs second site is now almost operational and will soon be carrying out more animal tests of the type mentioned above. The Home Office have time and time again criticised Wickhams cruel practices however they have no appetite to do anything more than tell Wickham not to do it again. Sadly it won’t be investigations and public condemnation that will close Wickham it will be people getting out on the streets and fighting to close them down.
