On Monday, NAVA launched into a campaign against passenger airline LAN due to their involvement in shipping primates for vivisection.

Following e-mails and calls from disgruntled customers, LAN immediately contacted us in order to facilitate discussions on the matter:

Immediately they begun lying, stating that “LAN does not transport animals for laboratory research”.

After being informed that we had evidence to the contrary, we were assured that “We are taking this very seriously,” and that somebody from the airline would be available to discuss matters further.

Nobody got in contact and, following a mutual deadline being met, we have taken the decision to re-launch the campaign to stop the airline transporting animals for vivisection.

Other airlines previously transporting primates from South America have provided firm assurances that they will end shipments immediately and altered their cargo policies to this effect. American Airlines and Amerijet International are just two such airlines.

We call upon LAN to get in-line with industry practice and refuse to transport animals for research purposes.

A global day of action is soon to be announced so watch this space.

Take Action:

- Boycott LAN whilst they transport animals for vivisection
- Contact LAN in complaint at their outdated policy :-
