Stop LAN Shipping Primates for Vivisection

South America's Amazon rainforest is an area unlike any other, exhibiting
beauty and a whole hoard of secrets waiting to be discovered. What we can
reveal, however, is not something to be proud of.
Hidden in the forests depths is the main base of the Peruvian Primatology
Project (“CRCP-PPP”), a consortium of governmental and academic
organisations. Despite the name crying out conservation, the PPP is infact
funded by the research industry to capture threatened species of primates from
the wild and export them to laboratories.
NAVA can expose how these intelligent creatures are packed into tiny crates and
loaded into the cargo holds of passenger planes. Transported for over
two-thousand miles, these primates are taken by van to quarantine centres in
Florida, including the discredited Primate Products Inc who were exposed
following injuries and deaths of primates in transit to the facility.
Documentary evidence and whistleblowers have revealed the airline behind this
trade as LAN, who have been conducting such shipments for over five years.
References to laboratory animals and wild-caught primates litter the company's
Live Animal Cargo Policy.
Across the globe major airlines are reforming their policies by placing
embargo's on the transport of animals for research purposes. Lufthansa,
Suriname Airlines, American Airlines and British Airways are just a few.

To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing in support of LAN placing an embargo on the transit of animals for
research purposes onboard any of your flights.
Recently I read that your airline is involved in the transport of primates
exported from Peru and was horrified that an airline with such a reputation
would participate in such barbarity. These intelligent creatures are locked in
small crates and flown many thousands of miles, only to suffer in archaic
laboratory experiments.
I urge you to join the increasing number of leading airlines across the globe
who have made the decision to stop their involvement in this cruelty. Until you
do, I will not be flying with LAN.
Yours Sincerely,
