Peace Day Event in Wrexham, Wed 21 September. Free for All.

A free event for International Day of Peace on Wednesday 21 September. There'll be live music all day, peace readings from faith and secular perspectives, a peace picnic, a free give and take stall, performance poetry, interactive art and bridge-building craft. Wrexham Library is hosting an exhibition 'Nonviolence Works' all week and there'll be an after-show party Wednesday night at the Horse & Jockey pub. Organised by local band Heal the Last Stand, Wrexham Peace & Justice Forum, Wrexham Diocese Faith, Peace & Justice Network and many friends.

Llwyn Isaf (Green behind the Guildhall, between Rhosddu Rd and Chester St, Wrexham LL11 1AY).

WHEN?

Wednesday 21 September
11am to 6pm with an after-show party at the Horse & Jockey pub in the evening.

Bring the sunshine with you, or umbrellas if it looks like rain!

Bring a picnic and/or veggie food to share.

Bring your thoughts on the subject 'What is Peace?'

Join in on the day: Decorate a peace dove. Add your contribution to the shared artwork. Help build a bridge for peace.

In addition to multi-faith peace readings taking place at 1.15pm, there will be slots available for people to give short (30 sec - 1 min) readings, religious or secular, on the subject of peace throughout the day.

If you have any unwanted but still usable items (not electrical goods), please bring them along for the free 'Give and Take' stall. Increase the sharing.
