Protest against Evictions

Protestors challenged the government for taking on new eviction powers, instead of building new homes.

Outside the Communities and Local Government Offices at Eland Place, protestors highlighted the eviction of travellers at Dale Farm and served notice on the government that it would be evicted if it failed the people.

Protestors built a cardboard city to show the future of a country that will not build enough homes for its people to live in. Every year fewer new homes are built than are needed - to house the next generation, and to replace delapidated housing stock.

Britain's towns and cities are more and more overcrowded as people are priced out of their homes, forced into overcrowded accomodation, moving back in with their parents, or sofa-surfing.
