Indian and English folk - East Meets West!
Moonshee

A band with a shared history that includes work with the likes of Paul Weller, Kumar Bose, Bombay Dub Orchestra, Noel Gallagher and Sir Paul McCartney, Moonshee "interweave their skills to create something magical and entirely natural."(Phil Udell State Magazine) Moonshee put English music in a global context, tying it in with cultures that have both inspired it and been inspired. Moonshee represent the point where the east meets the west, where the past meets the future! With a musical line-up which features sitar, tablas, South American percussion, Celtic fiddle and harp, you’ll find the sound of traditional England, bhangra and Indian folk tunes combined with a range of harmony vocals from across the spectrum. The band itself is a true cultural melting pot, giving an indication of the directions that they are set to take their extraordinary music in, a journey which will begin with the debut album set for release at the end of October.

Giles Lewin (from the Carnival Band)

Giles will be playing music that has featured throughout his career all are here (Irish, European, Arabic and more) but they are presented in a far more organic manner than ever before. This is often the sound of one man losing himself in the music he loves. It is folk music at its purest, without words but lyrical in the extreme.
