In a desperate attempt to garner some support and increase racial tensions after the English Defence League brawled with members of Muslims Against Crusades during the 9/11 memorial service, the EDL have fabricated a story about two members being stabbed outside a pub in Marble Arch.

Relatives of the victims were subjected to MAC's disrespectful chanting through microphones and drunken EDL members chanting 'e-e-edl' during the memorial. Following the ceremony EDL members brawled on the streets of London with their opponents. 20 plus members of the EDL were arrested and a further 4 at the ceremony.

According to the Evening Standard they converged at The Tyburn pub, a Weatherpoons in Marble Arch and were throwing chairs and glasses at local Muslims , one of whom was alledged to have stabbed two members.

Hope not Hate have contacted local hospitals and the police and neither have been informed of the alledged stabbings, despite the EDL's admin wall stating that one member had been released from hospital and the other being in a serious condition and was being kept in overnight.

They claimed that one of the two had a knife blade 5mm from his spinal cord and then hours later updated to claim he had been released was on a train on his way home to the south west.

The news of the 'stabbings' have caused uproar within membership and various racist posts made and calls for violent retribution have been made with comedy nazi, Bill Baker, declaring 'open season on all Muslims'.

Another call for help was made today claiming a 'lad' was surrounded by 20 MAC members in Stratford, east London. Despite being surrounded by 20 MAC members and fearing for his life, he still managed to update his Facebook status on his phone in an effort to get back up.

Mickey Bayliss and and Tony Hyam aka Tony Bexley were the claimed victims of the stabbing. Hyam wasTony Hyam aka Tony Bexley one of the group of members who attacked police whilst they were trying to restore order during the London riots.

This is not the first time the English Defence League have made exagerated claims regarding attacks on their members. In January, A few days before their Luton demonstration, EDL joint leader Kevin Carroll made claims that he was attacked by a Muslim with a gun outside his house and was under police protection. The following statement was issued:

Following the events in Luton last night we would first of all like to thank you for your messages of support that have been pledged throughout the night. The police are still investigating the incident, and are appealing for any witnesses. We will update you of any progress as we receive it. Fortunately the only injury that was sustained is that Kev broke his toe when trying to escape the sights of the gunman.

The claims turned out to be completely fabricated and the EDL soon dropped the allegations and refused to speak about them.

This is a tried and tested method used by the EDL to demonize the Muslim community and keep their support up. They know their members will accept anything like this at face value and not check facts. These lies then become fact and are used to increase the hatred.
