As far as English Defence League demonstrations concerned, Tower Hamlets was always going to be a disaster.

The press turned sharpley on them, no one in London wanted them there and many members bottled it resulting in cancelled coaches all over the North of England. Despite it being billed as 'The Big One - Taking the fight to the Lion's Den) only 1,000 actually made it.

The day started badly when the RMT Union and undergroud staff closed stations they were using stating that they were a health and safety hazzard. Admit mass confision, they arrived at Kings Cross and all the local drinking establishments refused them beer. It ended with leader Tommy Robinson getting arrested and remanded in HMP for breaking his bail conditions.

To add insult to injury they were again largely ignored by the media, those journalists that did turn up got assaulted (one sexual assault accordiing the the NUJ and one having had his clothes set on fire by an EDL member with a can of lighter fluid) and one chap got five months in prison for attacking a police officer. Our new style quick justice system took him off the streets in record time. Overall there were 66 arrests.

The final insult of this fiasco was the fact that they were outnumbered heavily by opposition and were not let anywhere near Tower Hamlets, instead finding themselve caged in a Royal Bank of Scotland car park in Aldgate East, City of London.

All this did not bode well for Yaxley Lennon who turned up regardless of the restrictions on his bail conditions. In a bizarre twist he climbed on stage dressed as a Jewish Rabbi complete with beard and wide brimmed hat and was intorducted as Rabbi Benjamin Kidderman (see video below)

Lennon promptly whipped off the beard and hat and declared he 'needed to get out of this shit' before launching into a police goading speech about breaking his conditions. Police tried to arrest Lennon and he was scurried away before surrendering the next morning to a Luton Police Station, only to be remanded on Monday morning in HMP Bedford. Full story here

In a final twist to the day, EDL Nottingham Division 'Angel' Joanne Dickson alledegly got dragged off a coach toilet, through and emergency exit and was assaulted on the street. Though her version of things has got more holes in it that a Swiss cheese and it is thought she was drunk, opened the emergency door to shout racist abuse, only to fall of the bus and be helped to her feet by an Asian gentleman.

The English Defence League offered her their full support only to be provided with some vile screenshots of racist comments her had made over the last few weeks. Shortly after the incident 44 members of their coach party were arrested and bailed.Full story here

So with Tommy on remand, Uncle Kokaine Kevin with be taking the reigns whilst his cousin is suffering the injustices of a two tier justice systems which has banged him up for breaking his bail conditions.
