Rumours that the event was cancelled appear to be disinfo
02.09.2011 15:00
The event is still advertised, and tickets are still being sold.
Even if the event were to be cancelled, RBS is a valid target for protest, as it is deeply enmeshed in funding the arms trade.*

Seminar has been cancelled

In that post I neither suggested that the CAAT protest should be cancelled nor that RBS was any less culpable because it was no longer hosting the meeting.
This was simp[ly relevant news not ‘disinformation’ which I still believe to be correct and it did nlot breach Indymedia UK editorial guidelines.
This evening the RBS seminar was deleted this evening from the LCC’s list of events:
http://www.londonchamber.co.uk/lcc_public/default.asp?id=271
Although the program and the booking links still exist.
So I could be proved wrong but if LCC/RBS were engaging in disinformation surely the event would have been deleted before and not after telling people that it had been cancelled.
