Response to the Clean Up - Clean Out The Rich poster

Max Headroom | 13.08.2011 21:29 | Repression | Social Struggles | Workers' Movements

Time to take back the broom from the moronic gentrifying middle-classes who seek to symbolically sweep their privilege and our poverty under the carpet and to wield it high against all the real bastards in this country. Let the Broom Bloc commence!!

Let's seize upon the image and reality of the broom and bring it to the rich and powerful! First stop would be to the upcoming demo at Wandsworth Council who are threatening to evict the parents of looters from their own council homes. Holding brooms above our heads and with banners calling to EVICT THE RICH and CLEAN OUT THE POLITICIANS, we will sweep away across the country! One broom, ten brooms, many brooms! All hail the BROOM BLOC!!

Whatever 'public sentiment' may be...

Pubic sentiment of course being essentially the product of the media, it is nonetheless true that the rich are responsible for all of this, secondly that they are murderers going to war for oil and basically the whole corporate-capitalist false utopia is what is making people suffer in such a way that they go rioting. "Get rich or die trying", who gives the people the values which seem to me to make up the motives of at least some good proportion of the rioters... You guessed it folks, the corporate media, owned by the rich.

Truth is much more important than who we offend by speaking it, if people want to be easily offended then this is their problem, basically we are all responsible for the complete destruction of the planet which is taking place and we'd better wake up to it and be a bit more humble. We're all in the same boat, and those who aren't willing to see this will drown in the sea of ignorant perplexity.

Etc etc.

This 'dan factor' has commented on every article of this kind, taking the most selective and simplistic view of class solidarity and attacking anarchists for not showing that class solidarity. He's been replied to extensively every time that I'm aware of, hasn't bothered to reply to a single response, yet insists on still posting essentially identical troll messages up on every report.

Don't think people don't notice.
