Meanwhile in the wake of the recent riots local community leaders and other have called for calm. One local community leader said: "We definitley do not want to see a repeat of the violence of the last few days. We therefore urge local youth and others to stay calm, to stay off the streets and to ignore this provocative demonstration.

The local council and local MPs have said they would like to have had this demonstration banned in the wake of recent disorder but failing that have also called for calm. A mass protest by Unite Against Fascism has also been planned but organisers of that have also called that people remain peaceful and do not over react to a demonstration with is clearly designed to provoke a reaction from the local community.
