Other parts of Kent remain tense

Other parts of Kent remain tense after disturbances in Chatham, Rainham and Gillinham on Monday night, when some shops were smashed and cars overturned and set alight. Several arrests were made. Tension remains high in Medway, Maidstone and others.

interesting

Interesting! I live in Chatham centre and have ventured out today into Maidstone centre. I have not seen any smashed up shops yet so I am assuming they cleared them up very quickly. I was in fear for my life too last night when reports were coming in about gangs of youths smashing up buses and attacking cars in Maidstone. I was in Maidstone. Either I as oblivious to any form of action or I put it down to just a normal night in Maidstone! Knowing Kent as I do, if anyone can put me in touch with these rioters, that would be great because political action has until now seemed to have been left to just a very small group of people... it would be great to get more support!

Right place right time

These pockets of disturbances you spoke about in kent are hard to track down in some cases. Best way to find rioters is on run down estates where youths hang out. They know how to burn cars and smash windows. Talk to them. Ask them about thier lives and what pisses them off. Build friendship and rapport, and thinking politically and then you'll hav your rioters. I believe the left is now in self denial. How is it working class action took place without SWP control? Serious thinking required.
