"The Globalization Of Anarcho-Terrorism"

anarchousa | 07.08.2011 20:57 | Globalisation | Repression | Terror War | World

"The anarchists of 2011 are more sophisticated and better equipped than those of previous generations. They have tactical communications... modern anarchists have taken advantage of youtube, twitter, and facebook. A city or nations security against anarchist disorder can no longer passively rely on the simple skirmish, wedge, and echelon riot line."

This is only a partial version of the article published in the latest Journal of Counterterrorism & Homeland Security Int'l:
 http://www.iacsp.com/latest_article.php

From full-length article:
"The Conspiracy of Fire Cells, FAI, and their allies represent a new breed of anarchist who embrace globalization as a means to an end. By refusing to recognize national borders, these anti authoritarians are actively networking isolated cells of militants around the world and linking them together into an informal but formidable insurrectionary force under the black flag of international insurrectionary anarchism."

Agent Provocateurs

07.08.2011 22:13

Coonspiracy Cells of Fire are agent provocateurs, ideologically and tactically rejected even by armed groups in Greece

QED have you got any idea of whats going on here? No you haven't, blatantly! You rattle of agent provocateur like your a trotskyist without explaining why you want to slander people like the conspiracy cells of fire who are willing to stand up against the constant murder in the IMF capitalist experiment, if anyone is a provocateur I advise you to look very hard in the mirror that you seem to admire so much!

A new Strategy of Tension

08.08.2011 06:45

I know little about the situation in Greece but in Italy a lot of people suspect the authenticity of the "Informal" FAI - and believe it to be a front for a new "strategy of tension" so don't be so quick to challenge people who ask legitimate questions. These groups aren't attacking the IMF but clerks in postal rooms. One of the reasons the whole article is so ill-informed is that it doesn't examine the questions raised by these groups, but accepts the surface gloss and 'intelligence' hand-outs. Calling QED a troll is an easy and cynical attempt to discourage difficult questions.

got it in one

08.08.2011 11:51

Crapola, you've got it in one! Trouble is that lots of people take those people at face value - and the media certainly does. The result of of the Informal group's activities has been to create a pretext for the arrest of several hundred activists in Italy who don't have anything to do with them.

Conspiracy theories

08.08.2011 16:40

Unfortunately the use of 'false-flag' groups as part of the "strategy of tension" in both Greece and Italy is well-documented. Several genuine anarchists like Pinelli and Valpreda were falsely accused of actions carried out by neo-fascists.

Against this background, we have every right to be suspicious of the actions of individuals who deliberately encourage confusion with other anarchist groups and who engage in activities that result in the arrests of anarchists who are not involved with them in any way.

When someone or some group claims to be anarchist we also have a right to question that self-identification when their actions suggest otherwise. Just as we have a right to question the crap thats published in so-called counter terrorism publications
