ATOS gets contract for Paralympic Games

According to Private Eye, ATOS have been given a contract by the International Paralympic Committee to run the IT for London 2010!

The same article explains that forty percent of "work capability assessments" it conducts for the government are overturned on appeal, provoking "fear and anxiety" among claimants....

Article in current edition of Private Eye (No 1294) on sale at all good newsagents and only £1.50....

Oh the irony

What delicious irony - ATOS has been given the job of assessing disabled people and declaring them 'fit' to enable the withdrawal of disability benefit.

If they complete the job then there will technically be no 'disabled' people left to compete in the Paralympics in London next year.
