The Left and their betrayal of the Libyan revolution
Ever since NATO decided to intervene and stop Gaddafi from commiting mass murder against the Libyan people, the UK left has steadily been a supporter of the idea of ceasefire. They exaggerate the bombing of Libyan military targets and condemn the motives of the western nations that support intervention. They even take to supporting the opinions of the African Union, a body that contains members that have human rights records as comparable to Gaddafi's.
They nevert in their articles attack Gaddafi but seem to suggest that without NATO the revolution would have been won already. They have this arrogance whilst safe in Britain that they know best, that they are better more knowledgable socialists or revolutionaries, notwithstanding the fact that the left in this country has absolutely no political base.
The Stop the War Coallition are now calling for a demo on TUESDAY 12 JULY 5.30-7.00PM
OLD PALACE YARD, PARLIAMENT SQUARE, LONDON SW1P 3JY.
OPPOSITE HOUSE OF COMMONS. NEAREST TUBE: WESTMINSTER.
They are calling for peace iniatitives with the fascist Gaddafi and a ceasefire, even though this will give the fascists a opportunity to organise and further murder and terrorise the Libyan people. How naive are the STW, or are they just trying to cynically exploit the antiwar movement for their own agenda. WHETHER THERE IS GOING TO BE A CEASEFIRE, THAT IS THE BUSINESS OF THOSE BRAVE PEOPLE WHO ARE FIGHTING FASCISM AND NOT A DECISION THAT SHOULD BE MADE BY ARMSCHAIR LEFTIES!!!
