Harlan Exposed: Emergency National Demo - Sat

NAVA | 11.07.2011 10:39 | Animal Liberation | Birmingham | Sheffield

"One of the trainers went into a pen and held down a dog with his knee. He was kicking the dog while he held it down to try to subdue it. Then he started punching it and then he held it up by the throat and said to it: ‘So are you going to stop?’” - Ex-Harlan Employee, Russell Trigg

This week Harlan were exposed in the Sunday Times and through NAVA for horrific acts of cruelty and neglect towards beagle dogs being bred for research laboratories at their site.

Workers punched and kicked dogs, drew on their faces in marker pens, shaved swearwords into their fur, left them in faeces covered pens and fed out of date food to the animals.

NAVA are calling an emergency national demonstration at the site this Saturday in response to the expose and increase calls to close these sordid kennels down.

We need your support now, more than ever, to shut the beagles breeding centre at Hillcrest Farm and save these innocent dogs from their misery.

Please organise transport from your area and be there - for the beagles.

Meet 12.00 - Harlan, Hillcrest Farm, Dodgeford Lane, Belton, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE12 9TE

[Please note there will also be a weekday demo on Thurs 14th July at the site in response to the expose]
