A protest outside of the headquarters of News International to show disgust at the Murdoch empire, the sacked journalists, clerical staff, cleaners and admin staff who are being made to pay for the errors of a grotesque billionaire and his disgraceful editor.


Come and say goodbye to this right-wing rag for good.
Let's show the extent of our disgust at what the NOTW (and it's sister paper The Sun) stood for. Whether it's xenophobia, homophobia, sexism, migrant baiting, union busting, war mongering, celebrity obsession culture, lies about Hillsborough, or the BSkyB takeover and monopolisation of the media.

Maybe we could burn an effigy of Murdoch (a 'Guy Fox').

Who else would I like to see out of a job - soldiers holding up the evil empires post colonial war, the royal family, the cops, border guards, landlords ( land thieves ), ad and marketing men ( Bill Hick still relevant - fuck of and kill yerselves ), welfare to work providers, pimps, poverty pimps,stockbrokers, bankers,estate agents, arms dealers, Monanto workers, westminster civil servants, corporate lawyers, and George Monbiot.

Personally I couldn't give a shit about Murdoch journalists - they were happy to stab their own colleagues in the back during the Wapping dispute and they've grown rich propping-up a totally corrupt establishment, because Murdoch's even worse than they are doesn't mean they deserve any sympathy

The NOTW advertisers didn't pull out spontaneously, they did so because ordinary people contacted them and asked them to pull out. The result is serious damage to one of the most powerful right-wing media outlets in the UK. Some Indymedia readers pour scorn on on-line activism (obvlivious to the irony of how posting on Indymedia is itself a form of online activism) but this campaign WORKED.....

I propose, that the reality is, the press has been working hand in hand with the police and the law and the politicians, to obtain information illegally, pass on to authorities and release exclusives, that this has been happening for a lot longer than mobile phones and probably goes back to the days of hijacking the Pony Express.

my only concern is that this is an engineered scenario with the sole purpose of clamping down on independent media like this, maybe the interwitter also. I suspect a few more scenarios to take place in the coming year, BSB in Sept.
