Push the EDL out of Pompey!

On saturday 16th July, the English Defence League will try to invade Portsmouth for the second time. We are calling on anti-fascists to stand against their racial violence and oppose the march through the city streets.

Last November, the EDL attacked the local Jami Mosque with stones, bottles and fireworks. 70 anti-fascists gathered within a couple of hours notice and stood firm and unintimidated against a flash demo of around 200. This time, we have time to prepare and get the word out. We cannot allow the EDL to gain confidence in this city and allow them to run wild. Time to nip this in the bud!

We are calling out to anti-fascists everywhere to come and help make the counter demonstration as strong as possible.

A phone number will be made available next week which you can phone on the day to find out where the counter protest will be.

The National Front was stopped in Portsmouth and never dared raise their cretinous heads again, it's the EDLs turn now.

We will be there to support the EDL

The small French Defence League will be in Portsmouth to support the EDL. France has similar problems to Britain with Islamic extremism, we hope to hold similar demonstrations in French towns soon too.

One thing you have forgotten oh mighty anti's is that CHELSEA are playing Pompey on the same day as the EDL demo. Both sets of fans have a long history of Loyalist and Nationalist hooligans, so you want to hope and pray that they don't decide to join forces for the day cos you may be in for a serious arse whooping!
