Cop vehicles attacked right opposite police station, Bristol

some anarchists | 02.07.2011 12:30

Six unmarked police vehicles parked in the locked carpark opposite Trinity Road police station were damaged last night with paintstripper over the bodywork under right the pigs' snouts, tyres punctured. This done with joy and ease as a minimal leisurely contribution to revolutionary social war.

In the wake of the Stokes Croft riots, with the corporate bullies invading every aspect of the prison-like world they have created given a taste of retribution, why should we give the dogs that defend that society any chances to lick their wounds? Why not follow through to kick them while they're down, while they're weak, while they try to rebuild P.R this very day on the streets of St Pauls playing the multi-racial card with their squaddies of colour where so recently a carnival of a different kind erupted for the first time after decades of racist violence and repression by the law, here like everywhere.

They let you have a 'Carnival' once a year, smoke the high-grade publicly, dress up in festive gladrags, even occupy the road, all within an officially sanctioned pressure-value to lose that dangerous steam... But please, just don't riot! Don't leave your station - remain within your social bracket, accept that there's a nice side to authority after all because they allow you to party... But generally only on their terms. We urge, don't be cheaply bought just because the State/Capital makes a few concessions and send the Community Support Officers on the beat wearing garlands of peace around their neck - presumably so they don't get punched about gleefully by the elements of society they most fear and loathe. Who says there's no opportunities today?

We can't but mention also with this readily-achievable action our solidarity with the UK anti-fascists who have recently been sent to jail on conspiracy charges - we also send greetings to Artem Bystrov (arrested in Russia on 26th April 2011, facing completely and traditionally corrupted and manipulated trial) and other anti-fascists from Nizhny Novogrod. Also in response to the recent police murder of a young black man, 21 year old Demetre Fraser who apparently jumped (police explanation) from the 11th floor while two State pigs visited his flat in Birmingham - neighbours and his mother believe that it was another example of racist murder at the hand of the Filth.

For an Informal Anarchist Federation, world-wide. Our solidarity is attack.

Joy and solidarity

police, once respected by some, as impartial upholders of peace and justice, have chosen to abandon any such role, choosing instead to abuse any process of law. This is not one or two bad apples, as is sometimes claimed, the police are a rotten barrel. Through bitter experience I have learned the right and proper thing to do is never cooperate with any police officer under any circumstances. Roll on cuts on police waste.

yet another victim of police

love it

The Trinity Centre

04.07.2011 09:54

The Trinity Centre is used for a variety of community events and activities.

The gates to our car park are never locked as we want to provide open access to the centre, as well as 24hr access to our community permaculture project based in the Trinity Gardens.

Our car park is used by a range of permit holders from the local area. While the police rent permits for their private cars, a range of other local groups also park here, including people using the library, as well as users staff and volunteers of the Centre.

The Centre is used by a range of both local and national community and campaigning groups for their activities, so the events happening here change from day to day, as do those parking here. As a community space, Trinity does not support any political group or position in the aim of providing a space that is open to all.

We have policies determining appropriate use of the space and guiding that activities we organise.

Our users have included anarchist groups, groups working to combat racism, anti-war movement and many others working for positive social change. The group holding a conference on this occasion was the Green Party.

It is not a police car park and no operational vehicles are parked on the site. As with previous attacks, it was not exclusively police cars that were damaged.

For more information about activities we provide to our local communities please visit our website.

no disrespect to the community work you may or may not do, but as anarchists, we fundementally see any collaboration with cops as unacceptable, especially during struggle and solidarity actions, so your lines " While the police rent permits for their private cars" is proof enough that these cars were legitmate targets, IMO.
in some respects, as the earth is being attacked by consumer and industrial pollution - all cars that run on petrol and diesel are legitimate targets. again, this is my opinion, not the opinion of all anarchists or revolutionaries.
but when you look at it from the perspective of the struggle to free the planet and all its inhabitants and nature from the grip of the tech-industrial slavery, lots of things become legitimate targets. banks, train tracks, motorways, police equipment, government buildings and sometimes, even humans involved in fucking up the planet and keeping us enslaved within the global capitalist order. perhaps try to see the struggle as a global struggle, instead of bigging up the work your doing as if none of us are involved in positive community work...i assure you, many anarchists and other socialist revolutionaries do plenty of community work.
hope this clarifies to you why the cars were attacked. again, this is just my opinion and not necessarily that of the comrades that carried out the action or those of other socialist or anarchic strugglers.

trinity centre - cop collaboration is not progressive

drop the cops rent permits or all the cars will get sabbed, repeatedly, - you'll have to improve security, as also your building and events will be disrupted.

if you take a position to serve the policeforce you are not doing 'good stuff' in the community, you are selling it out.

drop the cops rent permits and this will stop the problem.

take the side of the cops and it will cost you a lot more money.

Great post from the Bristol Indymedia site:

"While you may feel proud of your efforts, you have attacked the already week and vulnerable, the cars belong to a charitable group whom had left them in a carpark following an event.
The cars do not belong to the police, they belong to individuals whom have given their time for free to support locals and now have to pay for repairs.

The police don't use an insecure carpark you muppet.

Be proud of your actions, you have hurt the people whom are already hurting."

Looks like an own goal was done here....

Anarchists can't afford to have this kind of bad publicity at this time.
Indymedia moderators - please hide this article on behalf of the culprits asap so that any damage to the revolution is minimised
