Leeds ABC Benefit Night

Leeds Anarchist Black Cross | 28.06.2011 11:02 | Repression | Liverpool | Sheffield

Sunday 24th July.

Clear your diaries! Book the babysitter! Sunday 24th July is Leeds ABC Rebel Night!

As a result of growing state repression, around the world, more and more people are in need of prisoner support. Unfortunately, Leeds Anarchist Black Cross are one of the few groups dedicated to providing that support and over the past few seven years we have earned a sterling reputation for our efforts. Please check out the Leeds ABC website for more on our activities.

Funds are always much needed and in short supply, so Sunday 24th July provides a good opportunity for local activists to help the ABC out financially, learn a little more about us, and have fun along the way.

Please come along to The Packhorse and show your support for the ABC and for our prisoners.

Rebel Night features music from Javaad Alipoor, who some will remember from the recent May Day event in Bradford. Javaad will be performing a set of rebel songs from around the world, everywhere from Ireland to Iran.

There'll also be a support act, and we'll have plenty of other rebel sounds to keep you entertained.

You'll also be able to browse the Leeds ABC bookstall and there'll be a raffle. Hope you'll help us make it a great night.

Doors open at 7.30pm.
