A document that is part of the debate over the controversial plan to build a new football stadium has been released onto the Internet....
The Bristol Blogger writes: On Thursday Bristol City Council published a report - 'Application to Register Land at Ashton Vale as a Village Green' - for consideration by the council's Public Rights of Way and Greens (PROWG) Committee on Thursday 16 June.

This is the committee meeting where the council will decide whether or not 42 acres of greenbelt land at Ashton Vale should be declared a Town Green - as an experienced and independent legally qualified inspector has recommended - or whether one of the city's wealthiest men, Steve Lansdown, should be able to use the land to build his football stadium on. ... The report being presented to the committee claims to be authored by the council's Chief Executive, Jan Ormondroyd with legal advice apparently contributed by the council's oddball legal chief, Stephen "I will not act as post boy" McNamara. .... However, the report actually expresses the view of a third party who is mysteriously referred to throughout as "the delegated responsible officer". "The delegated responsible officer" appears to be the council's Director of Resources, Will Godfrey. ... despite formal requests, are remaining remarkably coy about saying who did write this appendix Wonder why? However, since Godfrey - along with his partners in sleaze Ormondroyd and Stephen "I've acted as post boy" McNamara - won't supply the applicant's detailed submission either to councillors or the public, we will.
