You may have heard about the BBC being under attack for using sound effects to mask the lyric "free Palestine" from a performance by rapper Mic Righteous on BBC Radio 1Xtra.

Since the news was released that the BBC censored Palestine, the BBC 1Xtra Facebook page has been invaded by hundreds of pro-Palestinian activists asking BBC 1xtra to play "Lowkey - Long Live Palestine" as a form of apology, they also called the BBC "bias" and labelled them as "Zionists" - for 48 hours non-stop, 100s of activists have been spamming the page saying "Free Palestine"

could this act of digital-activism force the BBC to do something?

'could this act of digital-activism force the BBC to do something?'

Could cause them to delete some posts and then go on as they were before with 99.9999% of their viewers having no idea of anything having happened.

During operation cast lead the BBC refused to air the Disasters Emergency Committee appeal for humanitarian aid to Gaza. If this makes you angry, perhaps it would be a better idea to donate your licence fee to Gaza instead of paying it to them. Anyone who has avoided paying the licence fee can tell you that the enforcement is more bark than bite, and also during the poll tax rebellion people found that by organising in local communities and around the country they could resist attempts from bailiffs - not that they're particularly likely in the event of an unpaid TV licence.

Good old Facebook, is there no wrong it can't right? No injustice it can't conquer?
