Blaydon, Bobby Roberts Circus Protest.

On this day, activists demonstrated at Blaydon Rugby Club where Bobby Roberts Circus was being held.

Bobby Roberts recently has been in most papers being exposed to his abusing towards animals.

On the 18th of May at 5pm we gathered near Blaydon Rugby Club to protest against Bobby Roberts 'Super' Circus.

There was between roughly 20-30 activists, many passers beeped their car horns in support during the demonstration. Our aims were to persuade guests going to the circus not to go to see the event, additionally to bring awareness to passers that how the Circus was acting is not acceptable and was taking place. Finally to disrupt, shout disgust to Bobby Roberts Circus itself.

During the hours of demonstrating, it seems Bobby Roberts had given out free tickets for his show before hand and had a feeble presence with the attendance at the car park there. Some cars even turned in to drive right back out again after realising it was 'that' circus recently displayed across a lot of the papers.

While Circuses hold exciting, fun performances on their own with performers acts. There's no need for animals to be used for entertainment in Circuses.
