Inaccessible website

Clive | 17.05.2011 16:33

I was told that I could read hidden comments on the articles by putting ?c=all on the end of an address.

Unfortunately, I am quite visually impaired, so it is very difficult to read the text through the grey hash pattern that you have.

Is there anyway to make this more accessible with people with visual impairment difficulties?

Sorry for posting on here, I wasn't sure where to do this.
Thanks for your help

The trick most people use is Ctrl A - click on the text and then select all, it results in white text on dark blue and is readable.

Disruptive, trolling and dissenting comments have been hidden for your own good and you have no business questioning this. You have no need to read hidden comments.

But if you must, try viewing the source of the page. Usually Control and 'U' on Windows machines, Command and 'U' on Apples.

Hidden comments are supposed to be inaccessible!

But if you are visually impaired and not just trolling I assume you must be familiar with tools such as custom stylesheets that help you read other sites with bad font sizes or colour schemes?

In Firefox, just turn off the default stylesheet (View/Page Style/No Style) and you get the basic unstyled page, where hidden comments look identical to unhidden ones.

So ironically the hidden comments are actually more accessible to people who are visually impaired, since they will generally be using tools that avoid the standard styling.
