The Florida Director for the Foundation for a Drug-Free World, Julieta Santagostino and guest speaker Rebecca L. Jones, Community Affairs Liaison from the Tampa Police Department, recently participated in a Drug-Free Marshals event at the new Church of Scientology in Ybor City. The event was aimed to raise the awareness and understanding of young children about drugs.

The educational talk about how drugs affect people and how to avoid them was followed by Ms. Jones swearing the children in as Drug-Free Marshals. After the children signed the Drug Free Marshals pledge, they were given their new Drug-Free Marshal badges. The guest speaker was acknowledged with a hearty round of applause for her enthusiasm in helping youngsters in Tampa become better citizens and help others live happier and healthier lives.

The Drug Free Marshals program has had great success in other cities in the US in helping lead the way to bringing about a drug-free world where they live and learn. The program is sponsored by the Church of Scientology and takes inspiration from founder L Ron Hubbard in bringing about a world free of the scourge of drugs and their influences on society.
