Emily James spent over a year embedded in activist groups Climate Camp  http://climatecamp.org.uk/ , Climate Rush  http://www.climaterush.co.uk/ and Plane Stupid  http://www.planestupid.com/ , documenting the planning and plotting of direct action. With unprecedented access, the resulting footage will take you on an astonishing journey behind the scenes of a community of people who refuse to sit back and allow the destruction of their world. Just Do It introduces you to a powerful cast of mischievous and inspiring characters who put their bodies in the way. They super-glue themselves to bank trading floors, blockade factories and attack coal power stations en-masse all despite the very real threat of arrest.

Wearing the mantle of direct action and civil disobedience, these communities provide a strong critique of the root causes of climate change with wit, creativity and fun. Putting aside the doom and gloom of many environmental documentaries, Just Do It is an insight into a community that will leave the audience empowered rather than overwhelmed. For us on the Just Do It team, this is a film intended to inspire people to take action on climate (along with the rest of our world's social and environmental issues) and we plan to show it to as many people as possible to meet that end.
