NHS protest Tues 17 May, Gower Street, London, 5.30pm

Just got sent this off a mate - last chances to save the NHS

Even Conservative MP and GP Dr Sarah Wollaston described planned NHS reforms as like tossing "a grenade at the NHS", and senior Lib-Dem peer David Owen said NHS reforms are driving the health service into a "train crash". Public protests halted the sale of public woodlands UK-wide, and in Scotland and Wales the Educational Maintenance Allowance has been saved and tuition fees have been halted, but private corporations still stand to make millions from NHS privatisation. The British Medical Association voted to oppose the changes and 99% of nurses voted "No Confidence" in NHS reforms. This is our last chance to save the NHS. There is no guarantee protests will work, but the way to guarantee protests won't work is not to get involved...
