Storm In A Teatowel

Jo Makepeace | 16.04.2011 16:54

New Royal Wedding Souvenir Teatowel
While stocks last!

Some people are cashing in on the royal wedding with gratuitous, opportunistic, unofficial merchandise. Er - including SchNEWS...

Re-live the magic of Wills and Kate’s special day everytime you wash up your greasy plates with this special edition teatowel produced by SchNEWS. Sure to be a prized collector’s item after these parasites have all been beheaded in a bloody revolution.

oh the irony

If you really didn't give a shit - then you would be wasting your time creating this nonsense.
You could of used that time to earn some money.

But, instead, you are spending all your time:
a) bleating about something you apparently don't give a shit about
b) whining about being poor

£6 + £1.50 P&P

16.04.2011 22:09

Not very competitive...
I can get a union jack tea towel, aprox and oven glove for £8 and no postage from Tesco
 http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.207-0904.aspx

I can't believe this costs £6 to manufacture. You can buy ones ready to print for just over quid.

good one

Moderators have given this "article" a white box? Why?
Blatant self-advertisement for a quick £6 buck from a £1 of materials (+pp of 1.50)
And they've been quick to censor comments.
Moderators see the shiny dollar me thinks?

coast is clear

open not promoted please

17.04.2011 17:13

Never mind whether this is raising money (different from making profit) it is till an abuse of the moderator role and publicising an item for sale. I've no problem with it being there myself (though don't know whether it breaks guidelines even then) but I do have a problem with it being promoted - presumably by SchNews themselves.

Hope this comment doesn't end up with all the others (mostly for no good reason, one as it breaks guidelines) at  https://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2011/04/477728.html?c=all

Promoted

17.04.2011 20:26

We can't figure out why it's been promoted either or how to un-promote it.

We realise it looks like we're taking the piss!!

But the actual posting is surely on a par with advertising a benefit gig, we do need cash to keep going.

ta, they seemed to listen to you.
Certain people have a lot of power on indymedia that the masses don't have access to.
With power comes corruption
