Ian Tomlinson's inquest - Steve Discombe:Scum cop

Freedom Press | 01.04.2011 21:41 | G20 London Summit

Is this the most despicable man at the Met police?

PC Steve Discombe, scum of the earth
PC Steve Discombe, scum of the earth

On the anniversary of the killing of Ian Tomlinson by police at the G20 protests PC Discombe of the notoriously incompetent and unreliable Forward Intelligence Teams (FIT) was supposed to be appearing at Ian Tomlinson’s inquest. Instead a short statement was read out to the court about Discombe’s recollections of the day. In witnessing PC Harwood violently strike Tomlinson and shove him to the ground Discombe said only this: “the baton strike was delivered in an almost perfect training stance”.

He offered no further information about Tomlinson’s killing.

Understand why...

Steve had a role in pointing out targets to other police officers that day, and is far more involved than others wish to make known. Also, they do not want him to give verbal evidence as he is well known within the force as a loud mouth who is not very subtle.

His role leaking police information to companies and the far right about activists is also a constant headache to keep covered up.

Now see, that's..

“the baton strike was delivered in an almost perfect training stance”. Now see, that's actually true. It was. This is a big problem. Steve Discombe is doing us a favour here.

And who posted this silly post anyway? Is any purpose served by calling a cop "scum". By the time you resort to insults you've usually lost the argument.

Try this instead. Cops are trained to do what they did to Ian Tomlinson. Somebody gave them orders and we don't even know his name. He has never been arrested and nobody, least of all the author of the above post, seems to care.

So aren't we colluding with the senior cops in covering up their crimes by focusing too much on the rank and file who were just obeying orders?

"Obeying orders" is not, to my knowlege, a valid defence when you are charged with murder. In fact it was a cheesy old line even then...

Write to him

Here is the e-mail address for PC Steve Discombe

 steve.discombe@met.police.uk

Why not write to him and ask why he couldn't be bothered to turn up at the Ian Tomlinson inquest?

to clarify

Nw let's see...

I should think there's stiff competition for the title of 'most rotten Met cop of the year'. There's probably a few in the running after Ian Tomlinson's 'fall'.

He is not

scum, he just does his job and also shows solidarity to his colleagues. Cops and especially forces of police like fit are hostile to society and they exist only to guard the bosses. Those small men will even attack their parents if they had orders for this. What we should think and take action in order to change it is why a big percentage of society shows them in friendly way and not as parasites they really are.
