meltdown - one of the horses has bolted

Uncle Christ + Anti Nuclear | 29.03.2011 20:21 | Energy Crisis

worse than 3 mile island even Nick Clegg said britain will step back from nuclear power. is the nuclear war nearly over?

Further bad news then

UK Nuclear waste in storage is set to increase 20 fold this century.
From the recently released 'The 2010 UK Radioactive Waste Inventory. (DECC)(NDA)'.
Considering we have been producing nuclear waste since 1956 that is a lot of Beelzebub excrement to deal with.
Now the government and economists keep telling us how important it is not to pass on our national debts to our children, conditioning propaganda. There are already some reports of a Siamese squid being spotted, although nothing can be confirmed at this time.

Just to really ruin your day

it has been announced that radioactivity monitors have started going off in the uk

False report (probably deliberate)

29.03.2011 21:42

This report is flippant and inaccurate.

The link to the Guardian article doesn't say anything about UK radiation monitors triggering. It doesn't mention the UK at all.

moderators do your job and remove this. The link doesn't tie up with the article and it sounds made up.

Not scared of the dark

30.03.2011 07:55

This attempt at scare mongering rather falls down when in the opening paragraph of the BBC report it says,

"...the concentration of iodine 131 detected in air samples was "minuscule" and there was "no public health risk in the UK"

Biased editorial control - AGAIN

30.03.2011 12:49

So you allow a scare mongering post that inflates the threat of radioactivity in the UK but when a poster comes along and points out that the threat has been identified as "miniscule" and no danger to the public that post is hidden ?

You may not like nuclear power but it is not your job as moderators to decide what sides of the argument readers may see - this is a NEWS site not your vanity project.

This is supposed to be an open newswire, so if you want to be a dictator then why not just join the moderation team rather than shouting from the sidelines.

Stop demanding censorship!
