What is your solution to Gaddafi then?

22.03.2011 11:57

You people are idiots! Gaddafi is a mass murderer who had vowed to crush the popular rebellion against his regime, thousands of people were already being killed before the UK launched military action. Had that military action not taken place then hundreds of thousands of Libyans would have faced certain death, imprisonment and torture! What was your solution? Were hundreds of thousands of you people prepared to fly to Libya to join and fight alongside the resistance movement? No! You were just prepared to sit back and watch Gaddafi massacre the Libyan rebels!

Libyan exile

I very much doubt..

..you are a Libyan exile. Ok, Gaddafi is a tyrant, but cite proof that he is a mass murderer, on the scale of say, Suharto or Pinochet (OUR kind of tyrants), from a credible source (UN, Amnesty international etc). Everything you typed reads like it was copied verbatim from any one of the national rags. If this is a popular uprising, then it isn't for foreign nations with a track record of flouting international law and killing hundreds of thousands of civilians to interfere. If you're still insisting on intervention, then have a look at the state of Iraq for a glimpse into Libya’s near future.

An 'idiot'
