The Libyan government says it found evidence that agents of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) and British military intelligence (MI-6) have entered into a conspiracy to overthrow the regime of Gaddafi.
Libyan Ambassador to Ghana, Dr. Ali Gadban made the announcement at a press conference in Accra on Friday, March 11, 2011
He said that the Libyan government intercepted and recorded telephone conversations between the Libyan rebels and the CIA and MI-6.
He also made a statement that Western and Arab news organizations, especially CNN, BBC, Al-jazeera and Reuters - all are members of a large plan, promoted by Western countries in order to deceive the world and cause hostility to the regime of Gaddafi.
Dr. Ali Gadban said: "They are all traitors and they transferring lies to you. I say this not because I like to talk, but because I have concrete facts, we have a record of messages between the CIA and MI-6 agents. I've read newspapers here in Accra and this is regrettable, since most of them cite BBC, CNN, Reuters ".
He then asked: "Where is the voice of Africa, we must raise our voice. Those who cite these news organizations, ask yourselves if they have their own plans - certainly they have."
