Hundreds of people gathered to protest outside the barricades surrounding the Lib Dem conference on Friday afternoon/evening, not deterred by the enormous and highly conspicuous police presence. Delegates were heckled/questioned as they entered a marquee in the square and as they climbed the steps to the City Hall.
