Liberal Democrat Conference: Police State Sheffield #ldconf

Some photos of the "wall of steel" that has been erected in Sheffield to protect the Liberal Democrat spring conference.

A protest has been called for 4:30pm today outside the Town Hall and tomorrow at 11am on Devonshire Green.

The police appear to be using Sheffield United as a base -- the car park is full of police vans.

Cops used one of these at Edinburgh climate camp. When the barrier is folded out, police one side, you on the other, the cops have a platform on their side to look down on you.
The perspex windows have a steel shutter the police can open from their side, it gives you the feeling of being in a cell.

Cover your face etc and spray paint the little windows, and redecorate the steel like this.
