Live Music On Bristol Hospital Wards

A music therapy pilot project in Bristol has proved so successful that a programme has been drawn up until December 2011.

The Archer Pearce Duo took part in a gig with a difference earlier this month, bringing a spine-tingling combination of guitar and fiddle to Bristol hospital wards as part of a project to add music to the region’s Fresh Arts therapy activities.

The first performance of Superact’s new series of recitals at Frenchay and Southmead Hospitals in Bristol took place before Christmas.

Live Music Now’s Dave Archer and John Pearce performed to patients and staff at both of the hospitals over a two-day period, helping to bring festive cheer to the hospital. Full Story.
