News Conference to announce Submission to Eric Pickles in the aftermath of EDL Demos re Tower Hamlets.
The Brick Lane Community Business Forum is holding a News Conference today to publish the key representations being made to Eric Pickles the Communities affairs Secretary of State in the ConDem Coalition.
The representations concern the Tower Hamlets Council’s role. In particular the Council’s receipt of funds from Central Government, the use and abuse of the funds and the role it is playing in the day to day delivery of vital services towards creating am economically productive community and actively supporting democratic and sustainable community efforts in the East End of London.
In the context of the Community and Business in Brick Lane the representations to Eric Pickles contain serious concern about the Council’s treatment of the community and the businesses including the curry restaurants.
The News Conference is open to invited journalists who are being invited by direct communications. Those not on our list already and wishing to attend should contact the BLCBF on the usual number/s.
