Disability Benefit Cuts

17.02.2011 10:58

Is this meeting going to look at the disability benefit cuts amongst all the others? They are one of the worst, most punitive cuts that is happening, but because Labour supports them I fear they will be happily ignored by meetings like this.

I would like to be proved wrong...

Scapegoating of disability and sickness benefits claimants

17.02.2011 22:53

I shouldn't think Incurable Hippie will have much joy with this Anti-cuts lot...Not in Sheffield at any rate.
I see it as very much a NIMBY organisation....and bandwaggoned, as ever, by the SWP...divided lefties.
MANY people on disability and sickness related benefits have extraordinarily tough and difficult daily lives as it is, without being scapegoated and hounded by the Daily Hate Mail and Right wing politicians/media.
Yet, many of Thatchers children, Hague, Blair, Cameron, Clegg, Milliband....do NOT give a shit...for the rights and needs of the IB/DLA claimants.

I know this...as I was on a few demos....a few years back and there were hardly ANY of the parliamentary MPs or Lords that had any interest or concern in ensuring safe, strong and supported care for DLA/IB/Sickness claimants...with or without parliamentary reform.

This is Scandalous...but NOT sadly, surprising.

Brits out on the streets...like in Tunisia, Egypt?
Don't make me laugh.

Too many left-wing agendas....Too many right-wing meetings.
