Local people in the Pont Valley have been resisting an application by UK:Coal. On Tuesday the council will decide whether or not the opencast mine will be given the go ahead. The planning officer has recommended that the application be excepted, we need to stop this happening. The Pont Valley Network and opponents to the mine will be gathering to support their speakers and prevent the destruction of the important heritage areas and natural habitats.

Bradley Billingside Opencast planning application hearing from UK:Coal Tuesday 15th 2pm Durham County Hall.

Join us to resist the destruction.
