The worst case scenario for the Egyptian freedom movement has set in. Europe and the United States diplomatically don't want to go beyond the level of declarations, and the mountain of petro dollars that is waiting for the Egyptian generals shouldn't give you any false hope about the choice they will make.

The movie director Omar Robert Hamilton wrote today from Kairo on Twitter : "Now we need the world to help us. They're just not stopping".

On the facebook page "We are all Khaled Said" is written: "It's a sad day for humanity. A day when peaceful law abiding protesters were attacked by Mubarak's paid thugs while the world leaders were watching. Tahrir square lights are switched off, 500 peaceful protesters wounded, an army watching its people being murdered & a dictator prevails. It's a sad world to live in. I'm not sure if I believe in democracy anymore."

Meanwhile they are newswires that talk about hundreds of deads.

And what is the answer from the European leaders ? They are going to discuss the Egyptian situation within 2 days.
We cannot accept this !
In diplomacy you have 3 levels of action : level 1 are the declarations, which mean in human language; no matter how clear and to the point they are made : we are bothered, but we will not bother you. Level 2 is the cool of or the freezing of diplomatic relations, which mean in human language : we are angry, but we will not bother you. Degree 3 are the economic and personal sanctions, which mean in human language : you have gone to far, you have to pull back. The latter is the only one that has real political impact.
We have to go onto the streets and demand from the EU and it's member states to diplomatically move from level 1 to level 3 , and to inflict maximum economic and personal sanctions to Mubarak and it's clique if they don't step down within 24 hours.
We do not have to do this within 2 days, or sunday but tonight, or latest tomorrow !
When the cow has drawn, you don't have to jump into the water anymore. It 's now that the fire is burning !
