DOHA, QATAR (1 Feb 2011)- Police blocked all but foot traffic to the diplomatic area of West Bay as scores of people came out on a hazy afternoon to call for the end of the Mubarak regime. Businessman, bachelors, and families arrived carrying homemade signs denouncing the long-time despotic president. Echos of chants could be heard throughout the scattered highrises of the neighborhood.
