Audio interview from Oxford UKUncut Vodafone demo

adelayde | 31.01.2011 17:57 | Globalisation | Public sector cuts

Here is audio report from the UK Uncut demonstration held in the Vodafone shop in Corn Market Street, Oxford on Sunday 30th January.

The shop was occupied by demonstrators who remained sat on the floor for about 40 mins. Customers were allowed to go about their business, and although Vodafone staff were letting customers leave, none were allowed to enter the shop. One customer did proclaim that he thought the demonstrators should get proper jobs, but as it was on a Sunday, and the demonstrators were actually providing their services on a voluntary basis, this customer's argument did not hold much water.

I had problems using Indymedia to upload, so the audio is available to listen to on-line (note, external site URL) at  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WMgdshmWhJQ
