IM Scotland to be split

Messy | 28.01.2011 14:50 | Analysis | Indymedia

If I wanted to read Indymedia Scotland articles then I would go to their website. When they endlessly publish those articles here to boost their page-hits, to disguise the fact that no Scottish activists post there anymore, then I suppose that could be seen as an act of solidarity between collectives.

However, when the Indymedia Scotland articles are attacking Indymedia UK with statements such as "What does the future hold for indymedia in the UK now? Will any users forgive the deceit?" and "IMC UK should be disbanded!" then it becomes apparent that solidarity is a one-way street. The relationship is that of a deadly parasite to it's host. It's the same relationship that Indymedia Scotland has to the Scottish activist community.

The only question every Indymedia UK reader should be asking is why is crap like this still posted here? Is Indymedia UK happy to be split by Indymedia Scotland admins? Why are Indymedia Scotland admins who are trying to destroy this collective still given admin rights here? Why are comments critical of Indymedia Scotland hidden on Indymedia UK? Why is an Indymedia Scotland article with comments promoting the use of Tor not allowing comments using Tor? Isn't that the behaviour only explainable as the behaviour of undercover police? And if they are operating openly there, then what does it imply that they are operating behind the scenes here?

I know some of these admins and have proof that they have been acting at the very least as police informers. If any journalist wants to conduct a proper investigation of Indymedia Scotland and want my testimony then, email me.
