Several leading members of the UK's Liberal Democrat party are Scientologists.

5 out of 12 members of the English Executive Council (the party's soverign body in England) are Scientologists as are several MEPs and at least 3 MPs,

Vince Cable has intervened on behalf of the 'Church' to help them secure special tax status as an organised religion, though he is not thought to be a scientologist himself. Nick Clegg is known to be on good terms with Tom Cruise.
