Real Life Bugs and Insects

anarchist | 16.01.2011 20:38 | Animal Liberation | World

You may have seen this magazine advertised on the telly.
With every issue you get to enjoy an insect cruelly frozen in a clear block of plastic.

:

The back story of how these insects are manufactured in these blocks is horrific.
Whats more, for an educational magazine that teachers people about the wonderful animal life in this world, the hypocrisy involved in making a profit out of their death is disgraceful.

Please give this some priority and show solidarity and lodge you disgust with their publishers and distributors

That one just goes to the root page of the publisher's website.

I don't want to give them a proper link to increase their search engine rankings (I don't think Indymedia uses nofollow on external links, maybe it should?) but this is their website, as found from a quick search:

www. reallifebugs. co. uk

I've seen these things before in shops, what a scummy idea.

Not worth the effort

I had my doubts about this magazine collection (I'm a bit of a bug-follower) but...really...deal with it. It's a big fuss about not much. Not saying they're "just bugs", but...end of the day nothings being endangered. And face it, the amount of animals that get killed just so people can eat...I don't see anyone really complaining about that.
