In the discussions about Nick Clegg's lies in the run-up to the election, the real problems of tuition fees and the Browne review haven't always been discussed fully. The best reasons to protest are not that a politician lied - which happens every day of the week - but that the aim is to marketise the education system, essentially with the aim of reducing tax bills.

Some activists have noted this, but others have not got too excited, focussed on the 'liberal' nature of some of the protesters. In reality a protest against tuition fees has to be part of the entire battle against the political class, because the Browne Review represents a lot of what's wrong with politics across the world.
