Political policing protest Glasgow

Generally the feedback from the police patrolling from the city centre appeared concerned as it appears to be the states interest to repress the interests of the working people of this country to develop an anti-cuts movement. The police confronted the protestors displaying what appeared to be their dismay at the presence of a protest against political policing, however accepted that no crime had taken place resulting in them leaving.
The public displayed a keen interest in the issues because there is a growing awareness that the cuts will affect everyone personally. This was exemplified by the fact that dozens of papers were sold. This possibly suggest a popular interest in developing socialist politics in Scotland to resist the cuts.
One of the above photos displays a comrade waving an Iraqi flag separately from the political policing protest. One of the reasons for this was to raise awareness that there is still support for the Iraqi people’s struggle, especially in a country which generally ignores their movement.
