Bristol Anarchist Federation and Friends bring you - Community sports and action training to begin in 2011. Support needed.
I don't know about you but running up and down Park street, dodging cops on college green, ducking under security guards in Topshop and climbing through windows in occupied university buildings is starting to hurt.

I'm pretty unfit and I'm shit a sport, athletic people kinda intimidate me, probably because P.E. in school was so traumatic. But what if there was a group who didn't care about how weak or unfit or poorly co-ordinated you were. What if you could improve your fitness and skills at your own pace with like minded individuals.

From January 2011 Bristol AFed are going to start getting together on a Sunday afternoon for 2-3hrs to play sports such as football, touch rugby, cricket, softball, British Bulldogs etc. We also want to do team building and communication excersices as well as skill shares in self protection, martial arts, and direct action skills such as breaking kettles and dealing with the police.

The goal of the sports sessions is to improve fitness and strength and provide practical skills that could be implemented at demos.

We need people who would be up for helping do a session or part of a session. Can you teach us the rules of cricket or how to defend yourself from an aggressor? If you have any skills you could share please get in contact.
