This has been a heavy week for Smash EDO with events at the factory every day.
We will now take a break over xmas and the next noise demo will be the FIRST WEDNESDAY IN JANUARY, on the 5th.
We will now take a break over xmas and the next noise demo will be the FIRST WEDNESDAY IN JANUARY, on the 5th.
On Monday a loud and jolly surprise noise demo was held in response to the call to action against repression published by www.freedomtoprotest.org.uk.
On Tuesday the factory was blockaded for five hours by three people D-locking and super gluing themselves to the front gates. In an unusual step the police went away and left the blockaders to it after they had had a discussion with MD Paul Hills and there were no arrests. Might it be that EDO are getting reluctant to have the evidence againt them given any more scrutiny through the courts? For a full report of both days' actions see http://www.smashedo.org.uk/ . For a press release about the blockade see http://www.indymedia.org.uk/en/2010/12/470666.html .
On Wednesday there was an energetic noise demo held as usual between 4 and 6.
After such as week we're sure that EDO will be happy to hear that we are now taking a break for a few weeks (the factory is closed most of this time). The next noise demo will be the FIRST WEDNESDAY IN JANUARY, on the 5th. Of course, this does not stop anyone from going up there and make some noise whenever the mood takes them...
